Masuro Emoto writes in his book: Die Botschaft des Wassers, 2002

"The crystal pictures, which arose from that, had all six edges. After this the question came up why they are not heptagonally or octagonally? I didn’t know from the very first that one gets hexagonally crystals. But in fact it was so, that in the beginning it were all hexagons that came out. Much later it happened, depending from the situation, that heptagonically crystals were generated. That is a question of the dimension. I assume that the crystals will look different, depending on how we will increase. That means that if we reach higher dimensions, we will get photos not only from heptagonally but also from octagonally or nonagonally crystals. One could say, that the hexagonally crystals correspond to the third dimension and the heptagonally the world of the three and a half dimension or in other words the world of the spirit. The sample of water with the mantram of the great indian  master Babaji Om Namah Shivaya is one of the most powerful mantras that exist. It showed i.e. a gorgeous, bright heptagonally crystal."
